I worked with the project team in the run up to opening the new museum, and helped the new Director and his team by designing the new training plan and writing the operational handbook for the staff and volunteers pre-opening.
My proudest achievement was leading the team that developed, financed and implemented the social inclusion volunteer programmes 'Shape Your Future', 'Volunteer Plus' and 'Learning Through Volunteering'. The 'Shape Your Future' programme was hailed by the DCMS as an exemplar project in A Giving Culture: Getting the best out of the relationship between the voluntary and community sector and DCMS (2005). |
