I'm a partner in a consultancy that provides a range of specialist services to charities and third sector organisations. Whatever kind of organisation you are - a new local start-up project that's going to run for a couple of years, or a well established organisation with an international reach - we think you're the best people to run to your organisation, understanding that it thrives because of your commitment, drive and expertise. However, we've identified a range of areas where charities might need our help: for short intensive projects, or to provide longer-term ongoing support, we use our expertise and experience to set up, strengthen and improve your systems to reduce the risks to your business as you develop. This flexible approach allows us to prioritise work together, and allows you to consider what level of involvement you'll need from us on a case by case basis. Our ideal is to work with you so that we become redundant - we want to help create a structure and leave behind a legacy of a well-run organisation.

The Governance MOT
This is where we provide a snapshot of the strengths, weaknesses and attendant risks of your current governance arrangements, activity programmes and objectives and provide recommendations for improvements or strands of further work.
The Compliance Calendar
This is where, with the minimum amount of fuss, we can help you to concentrate your time on delivering your services whilst ensuring a framework for compliance. Based on your current structure and governance, we advise on how the business and agendas for your board and other meetings can be structured so you can be sure they include all the things you need to meet your responsibilities:

  • Advice for start-ups on the best structure that will deliver what you want to do, and provide the least possible organisational burden whilst meeting your regulatory requirements.
  • Assistance with completing and submitting official forms - advising on your responsibilities, who needs to do what, when and why.
  • Anti-fraud measures, including whistleblowing and protecting your organisation from external or internal abuse or exploitation.
